www.kidsbrooklyn.com Kids NYC celebrates the 175 anniversary of Brooklyn by launching Kids Brooklyn. Before starting work on its lower Manhattan walking trails, Kids NYC will test market its concepts during self guided walking trails of Brooklyn Heights and Woodbridge NJ. A dozen 2nd 3rd graders at The Lower School of Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn Heights may help launch the Kids Brooklyn site in September. An after school program called Packer Plus is offering the Kids Brooklyn history classes September 25, 2008 through January 22, 2009. Only 7 kids are needed to launch this class that will help create some of the elementary levels of Kids Brooklyn. Packer students will help create lower level sections of a board game, multiple choice questions, crossword puzzles, word searches, self guided walking trails and a Google Map time maze. To magnify these young entrepreneurs attention spans, these weekly one hour classes will use historical action figures and stuffed animals as the teachers. Even the wrong answers on Kids Brooklyn’s multiple choice questions will teach people, places and things that are often related to the right answers. Crossword puzzles and word searches will be arranged by theme to enlighten players about their favorite aspects of Brooklyn from Coney Island to the Revolutionary War. All course teachings will be used and plotted on a Google map time maze game. History cards for the board game and walking trails will be created as a review of the accumulated history course questions. Kids fashion and toys will be featured on the site and on all its historic walking trails. Kids NYC (currently in its 5th year) has several history games currently being constructed on www.kidsnyc.com. Norman Scherer has experience from 3 1/2 years of stand up, 12 years at Variety Newspaper and is currently learning local history through the creation of these sites. Everyone is a kid when it comes to history.

May 18th, 2008 · No Comments
Kids at the Packer school in September will start learning the art of history games. Watch out Brooklyn Heights, the Packer kids will be using your streets and your stores to learn local history. This Packer after school program will teach 2nd and 3rd graders (and others kids) how to create several Brooklyn internet games. Multiple choice, crosswords, word search, cypher puzzles, a board game, a google map and character generator mash up and self guided walking trails.Kids NYC is now setting up free history sites at www.kidsnyc, and kidswoodbridge.com (its nice to research the old nearby NJ Boardswalks).Any town, city state or friendly government please contact Norman@kidsnyc.com to offer me work on a history site for you. The Clothing Machine element to the walking trails should help pay the bills to keep the historic researching and game building online.

Apparel at the NYC Comic Book Show
April 18th, 2008 · No Comments
- Kids NYC just added these companies to its apparel links. These comic companies sell the coolest tees and other clothing with artwork not found in any clothing stores. I’m trying to add them to my new sites found under www.clothingmachine.com. This kids clothing search engine is currently being constructed to synch with my history trails in NYC and NJ.

Welcome to Kids NYC Press department
June 7th, 2007 · 3 Comments
I’m Tate, There is no real agency, it should say Tate Stephens: The Ad Agent for Kids NYC.
Anyway, my first client is Kids NYC, and I will be responsible for the press inquiries and for signing up and managing the stores on the five Fire Treks walking trails, and the virtual version (coming sooner) called Norumbega.
The virtual version called Norumbega, is all on line, so only the name and image of the participating stores are required.
There is 5 requirements for the stores that will first take advantage of travelers on the 5 age Kids NYC walking trails.
#1. Give out history packages to passport holders on the trail for their goodie bags.
#2. Stores must let Kids NYC display and sell a toy, gift or clothing for customers to rate and buy.
#3. Stores give out Tiki money to keep track of passport owners purchases in their stores.
#4. 5% of the Tiki money is reserved for co-op advertising campaigns in NYC parenting magazines.
#5. Stores on the trail must display a Hawaiian shirt with the price in Tiki dolllars.
I’ll explain more, and how NYC businesses below 18th street can participate, if you contact me by email. Send it to norman@kidsnyc and put Tate Stephens in the subject line.
Cool, thanks for tuning in
